A Legacy Rooted in Responsibility
Eco-Centered Since the Beginning
Since the beginning, Waterstone has been eco-centered and environmentally friendly since its inception. Owner and CEO Chris Kuran grew up near the ocean, spent his younger years on the water in the navy, and continues to enjoy the coast and nature with his family to this day.
He understands the impact that small business makes on the environment around us all, and works hard to ensure that the practices Waterstone uses are ones that make us proud. Waterstone appreciates all of California’s environmentally conscious laws, and ensures that every spent resource is used, re-used, and re-cycled ethically.
"Purpose. It lives in every considered and obsessed detail, in the strength of what endures, and in the artistry of what is made by hand. It is both timeless and deeply personal. It is Waterstone — crafted for life and crafted for you."

How We Work with
the Environment
We don’t just talk the talk — here is a list of just a few ways Waterstone works with the environment as our priority.
- Bundling shipments in the same cargo to reduce paper waste and emissions
- Melting and recycling 99% of brass and steel chips to reduce heavy metal waste
- Ensuring all breakers and machines are running on cleaner, less costly 480 volt electricity
- All water used in product testing is completely filtered, cleaned, and recycled
- All liquid waste is evaporated slowly and safely in a CA compliant waste system — nothing down the drain
The list goes on, but we think the point has been made. We take our waste management and eco-practices seriously here at Waterstone, and we hope you do too.
How We Build a Cleaner Product
Eco-Friendly Packaging
Thoughtfully designed packaging reduces material waste while protecting every product in transit. We prioritize recyclable and minimal packaging solutions that align with our commitment to sustainability without compromising product safety.
Less Toxic Plating Processes
Our finishing processes are carefully controlled to minimize harmful chemicals and emissions. By adopting cleaner plating methods, we ensure safer production standards while maintaining the premium finishes Waterstone is known for.
Water Saving Products
Engineered for efficiency, our faucets are designed to reduce water consumption without sacrificing performance. Every product balances precision flow control with sustainability to support long-term water conservation efforts.
Zero Waste Metal Recycling
We recycle nearly all brass and steel used in production, significantly reducing material waste. This closed-loop approach ensures valuable resources are reused efficiently, supporting a more responsible manufacturing cycle.
Energy Efficient Machinery
Our manufacturing facilities utilize advanced, energy-efficient machinery to reduce power consumption. By optimizing performance and minimizing energy use, we lower our environmental footprint while maintaining high production standards.
Precision Manufacturing
Automation and precision engineering allow us to reduce errors, waste, and excess resource usage. Our controlled manufacturing processes ensure consistent quality while supporting environmentally responsible production practices.
Our Shared Goal
Designed for the Future
As Waterstone continues to grow, the potential footprint we can leave does as well. Now, more than ever, we are pushing upward with our best foot forward. We are continuing to ensure our brass to the highest standards, we continue to find ways to reduce waste and emissions, and we continue to fight for a cleaner and greener community.
At Waterstone, sustainability is not a feature — it is a foundation. Every decision we make, from design to manufacturing, is guided by a commitment to reduce impact, respect resources, and create lasting value.
